Trevor Raney is an Account Executive who brings with him public relations experience in state government and nonprofit organizations. He currently works with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Corporate Communications team as a writer and editor.
Prior to joining kglobal, Trevor served as a Communications Specialist with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). He provided public affairs assistance to the 11 counties in the Staunton District. Trevor wrote news releases and hearings regarding infrastructure-related projects. Additionally, he was a writer, photographer, and lead graphic designer for the district’s internal newsletter “The Highway Scanner.”
Before assuming his role at VDOT, Trevor was a Communications & Marketing Associate at the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Working closely with the Vice President of Communications, Marketing, & Public Affairs, Trevor helped plan, manage, and execute communications and marketing strategies to advance the Food Bank’s mission and cultivate its brand. He managed and created content for all of the Food Bank’s digital media channels including: social media profiles, website content management, and email marketing. In tandem with the special events team, Trevor strengthened existing sponsor relationships and nurtured newly formed ones.
One last thing… Trevor loves music and culture! You may spot him up front at The Black Cat or 9:30 Club, or catch him wandering through a museum exhibition. Some of his favorite musical acts are the Vancouver-based genre chameleon Destroyer, and the DC-local groove punk collective Gauche.
