Robert Gemmill is a trained lawyer and communications professional who combines a significant legal background with public relations and crisis management expertise, providing a versatile perspective when helping clients formulate strategy.
Robert brings first-chair trial experience in state and federal jurisdictions to the table. An expert in reputation and crisis management, his counsel is richly informed by years of advising clients on high-profile corporate lawsuits, data and privacy matters, sensitive workplace issues, class actions, intellectual property disputes, and regulatory actions and investigations.
A Washington veteran, Robert regularly advises corporate and individual clients in the midst of criminal probes, or those defending against civil enforcement actions by government agencies. He frequently serves as a client’s “on the ground ally” at trial, fine-tuning strategy inside the courtroom and building relationships with media outside the courtroom. His clients have included prominent private and publicly traded companies, non-profits, higher education institutions, high net-worth individuals, and professional sports franchises.
Robert has extensive experience helping corporate executives build and maintain their reputations online and with national and regional news media.
In addition to his career as a litigator, Robert was Director of Litigation Communications for the international PR firm Edelman. He also has served as Managing Director of Litigation and Crisis Communications for Top 10 Am Law firm Hogan Lovells, and Senior Vice President of LEVICK’s Litigation Communications practice.
