Julia Gottschalk is an experienced PR professional with a diverse and multicultural background. She was born in Germany but grew up in Brazil, where she obtained her bachelor’s in Social Communications and Journalism from the Sao Paulo State University.
After working in a few areas such as copywriting, internal communications and marketing, she fell in love with Public Relations. Back in Brazil, she was responsible for building relationships with the media and several communities along one of the most important highways in the State of Sao Paulo.
In 2017 she decided to move back to Germany in order to pursue her master’s degree in Media and Communication Sciences at the Ilmenau University of Technology. There she had the opportunity to work with people from more than fifteen different nationalities in three different languages. Her teamwork spirit and leadership skills won her an award for the best PR campaign for the “Health Care in Danger” initiative from the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva.
Eager for new adventures, Julia moved to the U.S. earlier this year and is ready to apply all her international experience in the local market.
One last thing… Julia spent her bachelor’s years taking circus classes such as aerial silks, aerial hoop, and trapeze and she is excited now to go back to them here in D.C.
