Jonathan Rick is a digital marketer who draws on almost 15 years of experience to help clients build thought leadership, create buzz, and drive public opinion
As a trainer, Jonathan has addressed a wide variety of audiences on topics such as business writing, web writing, PR writing, media training, PowerPoint, and salesmanship. He’s delivered trainings and keynotes, in person and online, before clients such as NASCAR, AXA, Visa, the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Defense, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Jonathan’s written work has appeared in top-tier publications such as the The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Fast Company, Forbes, and Mashable. He also created the digital programs for the widely-lauded White House initiative, Startup America, an eight-city, cabinet-level roadshow to encourage entrepreneurship.
Jonathan got his start at Time in New York, where he wrote for the magazine’s “Briefing” section. Realizing that he preferred to report rather than opine, he shifted from journalism to its cousins, public relations and marketing.
Jonathan currently teaches at the University of Maryland at College Park. He holds a B.A. in Government from Hamilton College.
One last thing: If you value your time, don’t ask Jonathan about his cat. He’ll still be talking about Fletcher Ethan Rick (“FER,” pronounced “fur”) even after you fall asleep.
