A creative at heart, Carlos Carmonamedina is responsible for everything visual at kglobal including: company branding, illustration, photography, web design and promotional materials. He sets the overall artistic style and images/video to be created for each project and ensures that our client’s message and image is correctly conveyed to consumers. He is tenacious, hard-working and loves a design that is effective, functional and enjoyable. Carlos has worked with many government and commercial clients, and boasts a range of experience that encompasses several disciplines, from branding to animation and cultural promotion.
Prior to joining kglobal, Carlos co-founded the NGO Periférne Centrá, which supports art and ecotourism in villages in Slovakia. Together with the Romanian gallery Visual Kontakt, he also curated a series of itinerant poster exhibitions that featured a global selection of emerging illustrators. His ongoing project, “Postcards from Washington DC,” features a new illustration of the city every week. Carlos has run this project for more than a year, during which it has been featured on several blogs and exhibitions.
Carlos did graduate studies in Mexican Literature at the University of Veracruz (Mexico) and holds an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Arts and Design of Cluj-Napoca (Romania). Besides English, he is fluent in Spanish, French and Romanian.
One last thing… He was born on St. Luke’s Day, the Patron Saint of Artists.
