Michelle Kirkman is a Senior Account Executive on the kglobal team supporting the U.S. Navy Chief of Information at the Pentagon. Michelle conducts research and develops assessments to measure the impact of communications efforts and campaigns, and to inform Navy leadership of the strategic landscape surrounding major policy developments.
Previously, Michelle was an Analyst at Lincoln Park Strategies, a Washington DC-based public opinion research firm. She provided research and strategic advice to nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and political candidates to identify and target voters, develop messaging, and implement communications strategies. She has also worked at the Center for Civilians in Conflict, where she researched strategies for the protection of civilians in UN peacekeeping missions in Africa, as well as at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, where she provided quantitative and qualitative research to political campaigns in Latin America and the Caribbean. Michelle has a Master of Arts from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she focused on public international law and human security, and wrote her Master’s thesis on the humanitarian and security implications of offensive peacekeeping operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Côte d’Ivoire. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Middlebury College.
One last thing… Michelle derives an inordinate amount of joy from formatting graphs and data in PowerPoint and Excel, and has very strong feelings about the use of the Oxford comma.
