Alicia is a kglobal Account Executive supporting the Assessments Team at the U.S. Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA), where she monitors and analyzes print, broadcast, and digital media coverage of the Army.
A communications and research professional, Alicia brings expertise in digital and traditional media management in both for- and non-profit sectors. Prior to kglobal, she worked for affordable housing developer Telesis Corporation and its sister organization, Neighborhood Associates Corporation. There, she was responsible for website maintenance and served as liaison to community coordinators in Telesis neighborhoods, among other duties. Alicia began her career as a project and communications assistant at the civil rights-focused Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, where she developed her communications prowess as webmaster and social media manager. She has an M.A. in Communications, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University, as well as a B.A. from Oberlin College.
One last thing… In 2011, Alicia put her digital media outreach knowledge to the test by using social media to organize and promote a vigil for Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos during his kidnapping in Venezuela, one of the team’s first grassroots fan events.
